I’ve written entries to design awards for Coley Porter Bell, Sampson Tyrell and Lewis Moberly - the client for whom I’ve done the greatest work by far.
Over the years, I’ve written entries for the Marketing Design Awards, the Gramia Awards and most of all, the Design Business Association’s Design Effectiveness Awards. Spanning a period of 15 years, every entry reached the finals, with 12 receiving awards including two exceptional Judges’ Awards, four golds and, the greatest accolade of all, the Grand Prix.
Design Effectiveness Awards are judged on the written entry. To win, you must prove that a design was commercially effective for the client company. Rigorous research, careful analysis and presentation of financial and marketing data combined with a watertight case written as a compelling ‘story’ are the winning ingredients. Simple really.
